Where Community Comes Together
Welcome to Alexandra's Bar & Function Centre—a place where friends and families come together, sport is celebrated, memories are made and our community feels at home.
Proud of our heritage and excited about our future, Alexandra's is evolving into a modern, vibrant venue that combines quality hospitality with genuine community spirit.
Whether you're joining us for a quiet drink, watching live sport, celebrating a special occasion, taking part in one of our regular activities or simply catching up with friends, you'll always receive a warm welcome.
More Than a Club
Alexandra's is more than a traditional members' club. We're a modern bar, function and community venue that welcomes members, visitors, local organisations, businesses and sporting groups alike.
Whether you're meeting friends for a drink, bringing the family together to celebrate, or gathering with your sporting or community group, Alexandra's offers a welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.
Our focus is simple:
- Friendly hospitality
- Quality food and refreshments
- Modern bar facilities
- Flexible function spaces
- Live sport on multiple big screens
- A relaxed atmosphere where everyone is welcome
Our Vision
Everything we do is driven by a commitment to continual improvement. We're investing in better facilities, modern systems and stronger community connections while preserving the friendly spirit that has always been part of Alexandra's.
Behind the scenes, we're continually improving the way we operate so we can provide an even better experience for our members, guests and the wider community.
Our ambition isn't to be the biggest. It's to be the place people choose to return to because they enjoy the atmosphere, the hospitality and the genuine sense of belonging.
A Home for Sport
Sport is at the heart of Alexandra's. Whether it's rugby, league, cricket, golf, netball or major international sporting events, Alexandra's provides a welcoming place to enjoy the action with family and friends.
Alexandra's has also become a favourite gathering place for many local horse racing enthusiasts. Our enthusiastic racing community, together with the popularity of events such as Melbourne Cup Day, has become an important part of the club's identity.
With multiple large-screen televisions and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, Alexandra's is the perfect place to enjoy your favourite sport while sharing the experience with fellow supporters.
Whether you're following your favourite team, watching a major final or enjoying a day at the races, you'll find good company and a warm welcome at Alexandra's.
Community First
Community is at the heart of everything we do. We're proud to provide a welcoming venue for local organisations, sporting clubs, social groups and charities.
We want Alexandra's to be a place where generations come together—where friends meet, families celebrate, community groups connect and lasting friendships are formed.
We believe great venues don't simply serve food and drinks—they help build stronger communities.
Regular Activities
There's always something happening at Alexandra's. Regular activities currently include:
- Bingo
- Wine Club
- Running Group
Together with our ever-popular Melbourne Cup Day celebrations, live sport and a growing calendar of community events, there's always a reason to visit.
As Alexandra's continues to grow, so too will the range of activities, events and opportunities for people to connect.
Functions & Celebrations
Whether you're planning a birthday, anniversary, reunion, business meeting, club presentation, memorial gathering or private celebration, Alexandra's offers flexible facilities to suit your needs.
Working alongside our professional catering partners, we can help create an occasion that's relaxed, enjoyable and memorable.
Catering for Functions & Events
We're pleased to be working in conjunction with Fahrenheit Restaurant, giving our members, guests and function organisers another quality catering option for events held at Alexandra's Bar & Function Centre.
Where required, Fahrenheit will be available to cater for a wide range of functions and special occasions, bringing the quality and professionalism they are well known for to events held at the club.
This is an exciting step for Alexandra's and gives us greater flexibility in the way we can look after our guests. Alongside the catering and meal options already available through the club, we can now offer a wider choice to suit different functions, group sizes and occasions.

Hospitality You Can Feel
One of the comments we hear most often is how welcoming Alexandra's feels. That's exactly how we want it to be.
Great hospitality isn't simply about serving food and drinks—it's about creating an environment where people feel comfortable, appreciated and genuinely welcome from the moment they arrive.
Whether it's your first visit or you've been coming for years, you'll always be made to feel at home.
Looking Ahead
The future of Alexandra's is bright. We're continuing to improve our facilities, broaden our activities and strengthen our connection with the Te Awamutu community.
By combining modern thinking with the traditional values of friendship, respect and community, we're creating a venue that future generations can enjoy with pride.
